Peaceful Walkways

Armstong-Kelley Park, Osterville

Over 8 acres of land maintained by the Cape Cod Horticultural Society offer a peaceful and pleasant place to stroll, picnic or simply savor a summer day.

No matter when you visit, carefully planned gardens and walkways feature something in bloom. Rhododendrons, wisteria, heath, heather, holly, wildflowers and a host of perennial and annual favorites are featured.

One boardwalk crosses wetland, lush with greenery and blooms. Plans are underway for a second boardwalk set amidst woodland plantings.

Osterville is just a short drive from Falmouth or Hyannis. From either direction, follow Route 28 to South County Road. This becomes Main Street. As you reach Osterville Village, bear left at the fork (continuing on Main Street). Armstrong-Kelley Park is on the left.

While in Osterville, also visit the Historical Society Museum at 155 West Bay Road (508-428-5861). Here, you can tour the Captain John Parker House, the 1728 Cammet House and the Crosby Boat House. Crosby's sleek and speedy sailboats, preferred by President Kennedy among others, put Osterville on the map.
