Rob has the same award-winning ice cream and even uses some of the same equipment (donated by Sue). They are open year-round and also serve soups and sandwiches. Rob and Betty opened the new store in September 2003, and its located at 216 Cambridge Street (Route 3A) in Burlington. Feel free to give them a call at 781-221-0338. Cruise nights Sunday @ 6pm Susan Stanley had a dream. She wanted to live on Cape Cod and own a seasonal business. She also loved ice cream. So in 1996, when she had the opportunity to buy Schoolhouse Ice Cream, she jumped at it. Since then, she and Jack Hickey have produced the most sought after ice cream on lower Cape Cod....super premium ice cream, made with all quality ingredients. 45 different flavors in all, some sugar-free! 31 available in rotation at all times, including sherbet, low-fat yogurt and sorbets. Generous portions are always served, and now we even offer special "woofer" sundaes for DOGS, small scoop of vanilla and a milk bone... FREE! All can be enjoyed in the shop, which is fully air conditioned, on the deck with its windchimes and birdhouses, or on the sweeping front porch filled with seasonal flowers. Schoolhouse Ice Cream has plenty of parking, is handicap accessible, and Neel Road Beach is a short walk away.
